Service Description
A 3 hour workshop designed for women at all stages of menopause, including perimenopause and post menopause. Many women find the years around menopause bewildering, frustrating and isolating, often unsure if what they are experiencing is related to the hormonal changes of menopause or as a result of other lifestyle factors such as work/life balance, stress and family responsibilities. This workshop will include the chance to share our lived experiences of the vast and varied symptoms of perimenopause and menopause within the supportive atmosphere of a women's circle, helping you to appreciate that you are not alone. We will explore how elements of yoga practise can support you through your menopause journey and beyond. While yoga will not eliminate the symptoms of menopause, there are practises from within traditional yoga teachings that are proven to reduce stress and inflammation and may help with anxiety, hot flushes, joint and muscle pain. Yoga may also help with sleep, digestion, fatigue, mood and general mental well-being, and may be beneficial for physical health by helping you develop better posture, balance and muscle tone.
